Family History Society of Arizona,  Mini-Seminar
At the Paiute Neighborhood Center, Building 9 at 6535 East Osborn Road in Scottsdale on Tuesday, August 26, doors open at 6:30 p.m. Most of us do our researching from the rural prospect where our ancestors were land acquirers. This is researching in an urban atmosphere. After providing you with at least nine pages of references, promptly at 7 p.m. Linda Casey will begin to explain "Researching in Chicago". All interested members are welcome to attend. Plenty of parking space available, see Scottsdale Chapter meeting directions. Reservations appreciated as space is limited to 50, and we want to have references all ready printed when you arrive. Leave message at 480-990-2348 or e-mail Margaret,  margaret166@cox.net that you plan to attend.
The Arizona State Library Archives and Public Records continue lunchtime series to Commemorate Carnegie Library's 100 years in Phoenix. Free and open to the Public No Registration Necessary
August 20, 2008 from 12 noon to 1:00 pm.

YEARS YOUNG

Family History Society of Arizona

As part of our 25 year celebration we call attention to this 14 November 1983 event:
"The Family History Society of Arizona" was officially registered as a trade name in the State of Arizona. It was on behalf of William K. Smith, and the certifying document was signed by Arizona Sectretary of State Rose Mofford. William was president of the then unincorporated organization, and Brian Killoran was vice president.
